From the moment we typed "romantic Italian weddings" into the search engine,and Villa san Crispolto appeared onto our screen we knew that this was theplace to hold the most special day of our lives.
Every question that we asked was answered promptly, friends even began to adopt the phrase "question for Marco". It was wonderful to see such an established and detailed website with each eventuality covered. The budget calculator was an essential part of the planning as we only had 3 months to do so, given the comparatively short time that we had to plan the whole event at no point did we feel pressurized or without guidance from Marco. On arrival the breath taking scenery and beautiful setting of the villa far
surpassed any expectations or preconceived visions that we had hoped for. Marco gave us a tour of the villa and quickly made us feel welcome and at home. During the next few days our guests began to arrive watching each individual expression was a pleasure in itself. The final arrangements that we had to make during these few days were dealt with quickly and
unobtrusively.
The night before the wedding the girls went one way and the boys went the other. Marco had suggested that we spend the evening at his restaurant "Ciao-Ciao" and what a wonderful night we had! The whole of "Ciao-Ciao" were up on their feet singing and dancing with us, a night to remember indeed! So the big day had arrived only to be woken by the thunder and lightening in ITALY!! The proof of our euphoria was that we greeted the storm with champagne and laughter. Nothing could spoil our happiness that his day had finally arrived. Quickly Marco came to the rescue and the blessing was changed to the day after without any problems and the reception changed to "Giuliano's" restaurant (amazing) this must have been meant to be and again we cannot describe how wonderful it was. As I went to put my dress on the sunshine came out and it was the most glorious day ever seen. From then on the day that you dream about became a reality and we would not have changed it for the world. The blessing took place the next day outside the villa in the glorious sunshine, and a buffet was held in the marquee. We gathered memories that we will all take with us for the rest of our lives.

As a couple planning to marry in a foreign country, we were understandably nervous at the thought of arranging our wedding long-distance …. There was absolutely no need! Right from the outset, Marco and Maria Rita had everything under control. The ‘Eight Steps to a Perfect Wedding’ tool and the ‘Wedding Budget Calculator’ are absolute godsends taking every tiny detail into account and ensuring you have a perfect and memorable day. We kept in constant touch with Marco in the months leading up to the wedding by email and everything had been planned and agreed before we arrived in Italy. This allowed us to relax in the lead up to our big day and enjoy Villa San Crispolto! We had complete confidence that everything had been planned with meticulous care including the flowers, catering, ceremony type, legal paperwork, photographer etc. Marco and Maria Rita are true professionals who take pride in making sure that everything is to your absolute satisfaction. On arriving in Passignano, Marco met us person and showed our party of eight round Villa San Crispolto – it is a beautiful villa full of character in picturesque, secluded surroundings. In keeping with the style of San Crispolto, the other vendors we dealt with were equally friendly and professional – Marco introduced us to:

Isabella – who dealt with all of the legal paperwork on our behalf and translated our ceremony.

Giuliano (our caterer) – who provided an eight course Italian Feast in the San Crispolto marquee with a waiter to tend to our every need. The food was mouth watering and the presentation superb. Marco had also ensured that we pre-selected our choice of champagne and wines to accompany the meal.

Domenico (our photographer) – was fantastic in making the wedding party feel instantly at ease. We were absolutely delighted with our wedding pictures. There is an ideal balance of formal portraits and natural shots and we have had endless compliments on our pictures from family and friends.

Chauffeurs – again completely professional but genuine and friendly people who helped make our day special.

We opted for a civil ceremony in the Town Hall in Cortona which was a perfect setting for our marriage. Our overall experience far surpassed our expectations and I would not hesitate in recommending it for couples looking for a special and unique wedding day. Marco commented on our wedding day that I was possibly the most relaxed bride he had ever seen! I had no need to be anything else as he and Maria Rita had attended to everything and all we had to do was enjoy the day!

Thank you for a fantastic week at Villa San Crispolto, our stay in the Italian sunshine was wonderful. Your villa has been so beautifully restored, and to such a high standard. And on top of that, the views across Lago Trasimeno are breathtaking; it really is a superb setting. And that is why we fell in love with Villa San Crispolto and decided to have our wedding there in June 2005. Marco was so well organized, helping me to plan every detail from the UK , and with everlasting patience for my questions or changes. Our wedding day was simply perfect – with a civil ceremony at the beautiful medieval Town Hall in Cortona, followed by a blessing in the garden of the villa. We then had a meal and party that lasted until the sun was well up in the sky the next day, with 6 courses of delicious food, fine wine and great music. Our wedding day was beyond our wildest dreams, and we also had such fun throughout the week with our party of 50 guests. I would recommend Villa San Crispolto to anyone for their wedding; it is a unique and extraordinary venue, with Marco and Maria Rita the perfect hosts.

We couldn't believe how much work you and Maria Rita put into making our and our guests stay with you so pleasant - you really went above and beyond what you'd advertised (and agreed) to do for us - from spending hours on the phone w/ the baggage people who lost our friends luggage - thus enabling us to have groomsmen *with* tuxedos at the wedding, to giving us directions to get places, to arranging our wedding day to come off without a hitch, to purchasing new glasses for us when you learned that some had beenbroken (not by us). We had an amazing time at the villa, and our friends and relatives have not stopped raving about what a beautiful home you have, and what a kind, thoughtful, and generous couple, you are. Our wedding was beautiful! We are indebted to you for helping us pull it off - from getting the paperwork right by putting us in touch w/ Isabella, to helping us find Guiliano, who did a fantastic job with the catering, to helping w/ the flowers and music. For us, of course, it was wonderful - it was our wedding, that's to be expected. But what we didn't expect were the responses from our guests, who told us that ours was the most beautifulwedding they'd ever been a part of, w/ the best food (thanks Guiliano!!!). We just arrived home from our honeymoon a few weeks ago - we spent about a month in Europe - and the best part was at the villa! We hope one day to be

There is nothing not to like about villa sancrispolto. it is a magnificent property, the rooms are wonderful, spacious and complete with all amentities. the grounds are wonderfully manicured and the views are like none other I have ever seen and I have traveled extensively!!

Marco is the perfect host.........always available to assist with any detail. he arranged a cooking lesson for us which was incredible and then we shared our dinner with the cook...........he arranged to serve us dinner in the villa one evening and it was wonderful as was the wine and music he had in the background, complete with a roaring fire.........

the location is quite near the major roadway that connects to any area in Tuscany or Umbria and we did touring each day and were never too far.....included Siena, Montalcino, Montelpuciano, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia and took the train into Florence. the local grocery store is well stocked to meet all your needs....wonderful fresh vegetables as well. while we didn't do much in the town itself, it appeared full of lovely restaurants.

I would recommend this property to anyone for a terrific vacation. Marco and Maria Rita make the memories invaluable and everlasting.

Hello Marco!

I am sooo sorry it has taken me so long to write. Getting back to work has been very tough and I have been very busy! I wanted to be sure to tell you that we had a WONDERFUL time at Villa San Crispolto. We could not have asked for a better vacation. The villa was more beautiful than I imagined and I did not want to leave! Our whole group of 18 still cannot stop talking about it. We plan to get together next month so we can share pictures and stories.

I want to thank you and Maria Rita again for being such wonderful hosts and putting up with our group. The dinner that was prepared for us at the villa was the best that we had the entire trip! I hope that someday I will be able to return to Villa San Crispolto and I have recommended it to many of my friends and family.

Villa Sancrispolto is a piece of paradise just 20 minutes drive from Perugia. The open views from the top of the mountain are unmatched anywhere, whether you are looking over Lake Trasimeno or over the mountains themselves. The Villa is renovated beautifully with every comfort for a guest in mind - even air conditioning and a fast connection to the Internet! My family had a wonderful time and Marco and Maria Rita are perfect hosts. Their attention to detail is extraordinary in every way. They make you feel as though the Villa is truly your home at the same time that they take care of each and every detail at the Villa. The meals we had under the starlit skies were among the best we have ever had in over 10 trips to Italy. We cannot wait to return. When asked whether my daughter wants to go to school (she is beginning kindergarten in September) she said "yes.in Italy." All of our hearts were captured and remain at San Crispolto!
