Close your eyes and picture the perfect Italian garden wedding… It probably looks a lot like the bewitching garden ceremonies we host here at Villa San Crispolto.

The beautiful gardens that surround Villa San Crispolto are undoubtedly among its greatest assets. We take great pride in maintaining gardens that epitomise Umbria’s natural beauty, setting enchanting local flora amid immaculate landscaping to create a sensuous garden environment that’s certain to inspire romance. Our beautiful villa allows us to host the finest garden ceremonies Italy has to offer.

The Garden Temple is set in the heart of our glorious gardens and offers a sensitively designed site for alfresco wedding ceremonies. It’s the perfect way to take full advantage of our gorgeous surroundings and create a truly unforgettable wedding ceremony.

How do garden ceremonies in Italy work?

We’ve hosted countless garden ceremonies over the years and our Garden Temple is perfectly equipped to accommodate your wedding. Our experienced staff are expert wedding planners and extremely well-versed in the legal requirements of Italian marriage. Of course, your ceremony can be entirely symbolic, but we also have a well-rehearsed legally binding package.

In order to have a legally binding ceremony in Italy, you’ll be asked to make a sworn statement and sign the wedding register in front of two witnesses in Cortona Town Hall. You can do this one or two days before the ceremony. There’s no need to worry about the details, our specialist will assist you through all of the required legal paperwork.

Our bespoke wedding service places a strong emphasis on flexibility and customisation. We want your wedding to feel unique and there are many ways to personalise your garden ceremony in Italy and really make it your own. We’re always happy to discuss your ideas, be they special readings and music or a unique order of service, and help you realise the romantic Italian wedding you’ve always dreamt of.
