The entrance to Isola Polvese features a spacious sitting area around a large fireplace adorned with an ancient fresco. All the doorways have been restored with antique wooden doors from the 18th century. The heating system is not visible, as it is installed under the terracotta floor to heat the tiles in the winter. The modern amenities have been chosen with an eye to retaining the villa’s authenticity. All the terracotta tiles are original antiques.
